Price alerts that fire once and stay on the list, cloud twins that page you with the laptop shut, and a screener alarm that rings until a human silences it.
Price alerts that cannot be silently lost
Arm an alert above or below a level on any instrument and the app subscribes that token itself, so ticks actually flow for it whether or not the symbol is on your watchlist. Crossing is edge-triggered and fires once. A fired alert stays in the list with its trigger time and the LTP that triggered it until you delete it — a notification can never disappear before you saw it.
They keep watching after you close the app
While you're signed in, armed alerts are mirrored to the cloud and evaluated on the edge during Indian market hours. If your laptop is shut, the alert still fires and reaches you by email. When the app is open and fires an alert itself, it deletes the cloud twin — so you are never paged twice for one level.
Cloud mirroring currently covers index symbols. An alert on a symbol the cloud can't price is refused at arm time with that explanation, rather than sitting there consuming a slot and never firing — it still works normally in the app while it's open.
The armable alarm — new in 2.0
Alerts tell you once. Sometimes you need the terminal to keep telling you until you look.
Save a screener — a golden crossover, a squeeze, whatever the filter is — switch on auto-rescan, and arm the 🔔 alarm. When a rescan surfaces a name that wasn't in the previous result set, the app starts a repeating alert tone and shows a chip naming exactly what fired: “screener match: RELIANCE, TCS +2 more”.
- It rings until you silence it. There is deliberately no auto-timeout — an alarm that gives up on its own is an alarm you can miss.
- The silence control follows you. It's pinned above every view, so switching to Trade to act on the match doesn't hide the off switch.
- New entrants only, on rescans only. The first scan's whole result set isn't an event; a name that was already matching doesn't re-ring.
- Muted still means visible. With sound off in Settings the chip still appears and pulses — the alert is never silently dropped.
Order events tell you apart from each other
Fills, rejections and stop-loss hits each have their own short signature — a rising chime, a low buzz, an urgent double-beep — so you can tell what happened without looking. OS notifications fire only when the window is unfocused; an in-app toast already covers the focused case, and a duplicate banner over a live terminal is noise. Everything lands in the notification centre regardless, so nothing is lost to a toast you missed.
